Critical Metals – Characterization, Separation, Purification & Applications

Daniel Sun, Dana Hernandez

There has been a significant amount of attention, but more importantly a historic investment made in the critical metal space by both public and private sector. The reason is – critical metals are necessary for most advanced energy technologies, defense applications and modern technologies in general. Further, there has been an increased need to build new advanced data centers to support the rise of AI, which require various critical metals that are reliant on foreign imports.

In this symposium, we will put together a group of speakers from both Academia & Industry to present on their work related to the the different aspects of the critical metal space, which include critical metal characterization, separations, purification & novel applications. The objective will be to showcase the work on current Molecular Foundry users as well as speakers from outside the Molecular Foundry with the objective to help educate our community on the up to date relevant work in this space. We strive to have this symposium foster innovation and create new ideas to help impact the Critical Metals sector in general.
