This symposium aims to bring together researchers studying the synthesis, assembly, and characterization of proteins, polymers, surfactants, gels, colloids and fluid systems to advance the fundamental understanding of soft matter systems. These materials find application in drug delivery, active matter, separation technology and neuromorphic computing. The symposium will encompass a wide array of topics including self and directed assembly, soft-solid interfaces, interactions at multiple length and time scales and advanced characterization of assemblies in-situ using microscopic, scattering, rheological and spectroscopic tools. We welcome researchers from academia, national laboratories and industry to contribute and foster new collaborations.
